Let members and visitors to your group know beyond the shadow of a doubt that your support group is family-friendly. A simple introductory letter each year can reinforce that "this is not just your mama's group!" Let people know that men are invited and ENCOURAGED to attend all meetings and events. Family appeal will keep your group strong for long.

I laughed out loud when I saw this one because our group is not at all this way. The husbands could come to the meetings, but then who would take care of the kids?? We find the women really need to connect with other women and get a break from being on the job 24/7. We do have occasional all-family meetings, but not often. The idea of having men involved in regular meetings seems completely impractical, and I'd love to read more about how that works!
